Meet Patrizia Cozzo
My name is Patrizia and I live in a small town near Perugia, in the very centre of Italy, with my husband and two beautiful grown up children.
I was always interested in art in all its form and I started making little works in polymer clay when I was very young, I remember I was in high school.
However I would have never thought that my love for polymer clay could have evolve into what is today. The point of no return for me was in 2007 when I fell in love with the wonderful world of some dollmakers while surfing on the net. I could not afford the stunning creations I saw, so I decided I would give it a try myself.
It was a process of trial and errors, it was hard because there were not much informations when I started, but it was also very satisfying.
My dolls are small, about 20 / 22 cm tall, and are all handmade from the eyes that I paint myself, to all the dresses and the accessories. I pay much attention to the eyes because through them I like to think that my dolls could tell their story to the viewer. While I’m still on a learning curve, I do also teach what I have learned until now and do workshops in Italy and abroad.
I am very grateful I discovered this doll world, I’m having so much from it. I have met some wonderful people and seen their wonderful creations. I’m very proud to be part of all this
