A little history of the big collar. Part 2. Master class
Collars of the XVI-XVII centuries. History. Master class on sewing.
My name is Olga Sidorova. And I make porcelain dolls in historical costumes. The costumes on my dolls are detachable, made according to the restored old patterns.
Before starting work, I carefully study the information, look at the paintings, read the publications of professionals so that the costume is as similar as possible to the original.
I bring to your attention a story about luxurious collars of the 16-17 centuries and a master class on their sewing.
The title photo is a doll of Anne of Austria based on the painting "Portrait of Anne of Austria" by Pieter Paul Rubens, 1625. The author is Olga Sidorova.
Happy viewing!
The master class is useful. The informational part is no less interesting. Thanks a lot to Olga. I have a doll with a collar like this and it was incredibly difficult to do!
