Big heart of the master
Today is a story about the master, the author of kind and bright dolls, Irina Kacharava
There are works, the author of which can be calculated instantly! Unusual realism and fabulousness, romanticism and tenderness. And also the feeling that it was not the artist who created them, but that they themselves appeared in our world to make it kinder.
The author's characters are understandable, close to us images: playing children, good-natured old men, circus people.
The favorite material of the master is plastic "fimo". According to the author, it is "mobile" and "responsive", most of all resembles living skin.
For Irina, it is important that in the process of work, the doll acquires a meaningful look, this helps to form the image as a whole.
Irina talks about herself:
“I was born and live in Moscow. Parents, builders by profession and the golden hands of craftsmen in life, instilled confidence that you can create everything with your hands. For a long time in our refrigerator, a whole shelf was occupied by the plasticine city where my gnomes lived.
Studying microbiology, at the Moscow Institute of Chemical Technology. Mendeleev, I could not even imagine that I would live not by science, but by dolls.
The most important thing began with the II International Exhibition of Dolls at the Vakhtanov Gallery. A secret door opened, behind which lived amazing creatures - dolls.
Since then, my characters are born and live in the house - old people and children. All of them, kind, smiling, a little sad - quiet observers of what is happening around. They find their owners in Russia, Canada, Great Britain, which means that I bring someone a little bit of joy and light. "
