International exhibition of dolls and teddy bears "TIME OF THE DOLLARS
The exhibition "Puppet Time" is now in its 27th year and needs no introduction. Today we're going to tell you about our new projects, which are eagerly awaited spectators and fans of art dolls.
- This time we have prepared a programme museum project, The Museum of Supernatural History, with artists from Russia, the US, the UK, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Cyprus taking part.
You will be presented with the following:
- fantastic creatures from tales, myths and legends;
- An open bestiary (Borges' "Bestiary" and its "elegant animals with a literary pedigree" are particularly good in this regard)
- discovered in the 21st century by fantastic creatures and characters.
The quintessential programme will feature hyper-generous video projections by artists from the US and Latvia.
- For the first time in Russia, a large-scale solo exhibition by a classic of Estonian figurative art will be shown Yuri Mildeberg.
"His world has its own rules and notions of truth that tickle the senses with absurdity. Mildeberg offers the senses all kinds of subjective truths at once".
- Only at the biannual exhibition "TIME OF PUPPETS" in St. Petersburg you can see masterpieces from the museum's collection of unique pieces by the famous Russian artist Alexandra Kukinova.
- Our traditional Christmas tree has already gone to the brave hands of the decorators and will return to the centre of the hall in the form of ... let it be a surprise!
So, on December 22-26, 9 halls of the Union of Artists will once again be decorated with new collections of teddy bears and dolls from various parts of Russia and the world!
A separate room of the Craft Bazaar - ceramics, textiles, jewellery and handmade accessories, which are more important than ever on the eve of the New Year holidays. This is an opportunity to give the people you love unique items, filled with the warmth of hands and the talent of craftsmen.
For subjective truths, into the world of Bosch and Borges, to meet the supernatural! That time is already here!
