Hobby-X 2023 is scheduled for 4-7 May at the Kialami Grand Prix circuit and the International Convention Centre.
Each year a wide range of materials, equipment, supplies and ideas are shown to the public, encouraging South Africans to take up a creative craft or hobby. Hobby-X was originally launched in 1998 and has grown exponentially over the past 23 years.
It is now a very popular event, attracting tens of thousands of visitors to every show. Professional amateurs and those in search of a creative outlet come from all over South Africa in search of materials, supplies, equipment, new ideas and techniques. Hobby-X offers a wide range of activities to suit all kinds of interests and preferences. Whether you are exploring an idea for a side business or looking for fun for the whole family, there is something for everyone at Hobby-X.
Visitors are invited to show their creative side and browse the numerous stalls with mosaics, metal and polymer clay, model cars, planes and trains, cooking, card making, woodworking, laser cutting, 3D printing, stencils, various paints, books and much more. Also, if you're a fan of fun, stock the house with a variety of limited edition stationary, comic books and cool posters, diving gear, kids' crafts and more. Those interested in learning more about their chosen craft can attend a number of workshops and demonstrations given by experts in the field.
