Teddy's history is closely linked to that of Steiff. Steiff has been making teddy bears since the end of the 19th century to the present day. In 1880, a young German woman, Margarete Steiff, opened a small workshop, which begins one of the stories of the appearance of the Teddy bear. The first Steiff bear, named 'PB55', is a replica of a 1902 teddy bear from 2012.
