The opening of the international virtual exhibition of designer dolls MuñecArt began with a scandal.

As promised, the exhibition opened at 00:00 on March 12, and at first nothing foreshadowed trouble. Looking ahead, I will say that on the reports of the technicians received later, it was clear that difficulties with entering the site began at night, but who knew about this? We slept peacefully.

Early in the morning, the statistics of visits at first showed encouraging pleasant numbers on average of 400 people per minute, but then this figure began to grow rapidly, and when it exceeded the critical 800 people per minute, the server crashed for the first time and began to collapse. Thousands of doll art fans literally stormed the site, trying to enter, and the overloaded server collapsed over and over again.

The MuñecArt website resembled the painting "The Storming of Ishmael". About 100,000 people tried to enter to see the exhibition, but only 40,000 managed to do so.

A powerful server that worked all last season, with a load not exceeding 27%, this time turned out to be loaded on 103%!

Not a single doll exhibition has ever seen such a demand in the entire history of their existence.

I had to urgently double the server capacity. These measures eased the situation only for a while, because there are still peaks up to 89%. But, at least, it gives fans the opportunity, albeit slowly, but still to see unique works.

In technical reports, in addition to traditional bots working for search engines, special ones were noticed, from specialized ranks that never come to take data on their own, they need to be invited. Nevertheless, they also went to the "light", attracted by such high activity.

All these events clearly demonstrated the need for online exhibitions, great interest in them and timeliness.

Despite the stress we have experienced, we are happy with this result, as it makes it obvious even to skeptics one fact, MuñecArt is the most successful puppet project in the world!
