From a person to an artist. Part 2
So, fate was decided. You have decided to become a doll artist. At least that's what you call yourself and take offense at the word "needlewoman".
You carefully study the technique of the star masters and, in principle, understand that you can do that too. You just need to make an effort. Time passes, dolls appear one after another, but the cherished result is still very far away.
At this point, you begin to understand that things are not so simple. Spots appear in the sun.
It becomes embarrassing for the naive joy of the first dolls.
However, you don't give up. You take various lessons, study anatomy, principles of building a composition, sculpt, skin, paint. The result is a little better, but still not the same, not at all the same.
The more you immerse yourself in the subject, the more clearly you understand that before the right to be called an "artist", you will have to eat more than one pood of salt.
Like in "Alice", in order to just stay in place, you need to run with all your might, and if you want to get somewhere, then these efforts must be redoubled.
Sometimes my hands give up and even depression rolls over. The works of great masters are no longer inspiring. You understand that all the best has already been created before you and you have nothing to tell the world.
But giving up just like that is no longer possible. The Rubicon has long been passed.
With a sinking heart, you publish one of the dolls on the network, and suddenly your tape literally explodes with enthusiastic responses from completely strangers.
You will realize that getting praise from an inexperienced viewer is not at all the same as praise from a guru, but it's still damn good. Acts as a healing balm.
And after a while, the first cautious praises from the celestials appear. On the one hand, there is a suspicion that they just want to cheer you up, seeing that you are trying. On the other hand, if it turned out badly for you, then no one would praise in vain. In the puppet world, the practice is rather reversed.
Actually, the very idea of this text is quite banal - the road will be mastered by the one walking. But it is her that we often forget and fall into despondency.
“Fight and seek! Find and hide! " No, it seems that it was somehow different there. But I think everyone understood me.
There are many examples when the puppet Olympus is reached by people without art education.
It is not enough to get an education, it is not enough to be brilliant. Without constant effort, these two components will not give any result. The university will give you the necessary foundation, and only self-education will lead to success.
On this high note, I bow out and wish you creative success!
