Juliet Pelukh dolls
Juliet Pelukh is a member of the NIADA International Association of Puppet Artists since 2019. She works with air-cured clay, creating mainly articulated dolls. Her work is full of delicate charm and the need to capture moments of elusive beauty and innocence. The artist prefers to use soft neutral tones in the doll's costume. And in this monochrome solution there are many exquisite finds: layered skirts, fine vintage lace, translucent fabrics, as well as accent details which reveal the author's intention and create the mood.
"I discovered puppets as an art form in 2010. I use puppetry as a way to share my thoughts, emotions and energy with the world through my art. Puppetry for me is a childlike, direct belief in a miracle... exactly a miracle... the miracle of birth, of creation, of life. Every time I watch the living energy of creation being born in my hands, from the original lifeless material. Once you experience it, you cannot stop. I experiment with different techniques, particularly the articulated doll. I like the figure's mobility, but not as a plaything, but more to change its position depending on the owner's mood..."
