Juliet Pelukh dolls

Juliet Pelukh - Member of the International Association of Doll Artists NIADA since 2019. She works with air-fastening clays, creating mainly articulated dolls. Her work is full of delicate charm and a need to capture moments of elusive beauty and innocence. In the doll's costume the artist prefers to use soft neutral tones. And in this monochrome solution there are many exquisite finds: multi-layered skirts, fine vintage lace, translucent fabrics, as well as accent details that reveal the author's intention and create a mood.
"I discovered puppetry as an art form in 2010. I use puppetry as a way to share my thoughts, emotions and energy with the world through my art. Puppetry for me is a childlike direct belief in the miracle...exactly the miracle...the miracle of birth, of creation, of life. Each time I watch the living energy of creativity being born in my hands, out of the original lifeless material. Once you experience it once, you can't stop anymore. I experiment with different techniques, particularly the articulated doll. I like the mobility of the figure, but not as a plaything, but more to change its position depending on the mood of the owner..."(c) Juliet Pelukh
