DollArt - Planetarium Exhibition 19 April - 5 May 2023

From 19 April to 5 May 2023, the exhibition halls of the Moscow Union of Artists will host the XXI annual exhibition of professional puppet artists within the framework of the exhibition project "DollArt - Planetarium".
An artist differs from ordinary people in that he or she is able to create his or her own unique world. You could say that an artist's work is a separate planet. The artist is in constant motion, generating a host of ideas that are sometimes absurd and unthinkable at first glance, but which he or she can bring to life with the power of his or her talent.
By taking ordinary things out of their usual context, the creator accumulates the Universal in the Private. The viewer is often amazed that they have never seen, felt or realised the reality that the artist is bringing to their attention. The aim of creativity is to elevate man above the commonplace, to inspire his feelings, to elevate his thoughts. To this end, the artist creates his own, unique planet, existing according to specific laws, but subject to the general movement of human thought and imagination.
Participants in the project have decided to create their own Planetary System, parts of which will be a creatively meaningful representation of themselves as a separate world, a unique planet. The audience will be presented with a kind of art planetarium, full of marvellous creations by puppet artists.
The exhibition is organised by the Art Doll section of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia as part of the DollArt.ru experimental creative workshop of the TSXR.
