Master Class. A fabulous whale made of cardboard.
In this video I will tell you how I made the Miracle Whale out of cardboard.
- I translated the whale pattern onto cardboard, 2 mm thick.
- All the details were cut out and sanded with a nail file.
- To make hanging loops, I twisted a thin wire in half.
- To give mobility to the tail, I glued a thread folded four times to the body.
- Using PVA glue, I connected the loops and all the details of the body.
- After the parts have dried, I sanded the edges.
Let's start decorating:
- Using the template made, I cut out houses from cardboard, 1 mm thick, and glued them to one side of the whale.
- The stripes on the belly are made of thread glued to PVA glue.
- I cut out cubes from thin cardboard. They will depict village buildings, on the back of a whale.
- I painted a sponge for dishes with green paint. These are future green spaces.
- I painted the back, abdomen and roofs of the houses, which will be attached on both sides of the whale, with paints of the appropriate color.
- To give a natural look, I painted shadows under the houses, between the roofs and glued greenery.
- I drew a whale's eye and stripes on its tail.
- I walked with a semi-dry brush along the edges of the details, with a paint mixed of gray, black, white and yellow. I did the same with gold paint.
It remains to attach the rope and the Miracle Kit is ready!
Enjoy your creativity!
