Virtual MuñecArt. Utopia or reality.

Today is the opening day of the VII season of the MuñecArt art doll exhibition.

It appeared for the first time in a virtual format a year ago, like everything new, causing a lot of controversy. Something like a confrontation between traditional exhibitions and virtual ones arose. The main point of controversy was whether an online event could become a full-fledged exhibition project or whether it was a utopia.

Today, a year later, we can answer this question. But let's take it in order.

The sixth season of MuñecArt, also online, saw a server crash on opening day. More than one hundred thousand people came to the site at the same time. During the month of the sixth season, the site was visited by about half a million people from all over the world.

Just imagine that many visitors. Agree that such interest is difficult to ignore. It is noteworthy that this did not happen during the first online season, when it would be so natural to justify the increased interest in the exhibition by curiosity about everything new. This happened for the second time, which speaks of the need for such projects.

Yes, this is still unusual. Yes, many people feel strange when they do not see the expression on the faces of exhibition visitors, in fact, as well as the visitors themselves. The mechanism "if I do not see, then this is not" is triggered. Which is fundamentally wrong. The exhibition has visitors all the time 24/7. They walk from room to room and carefully examine the exhibits.

The visitor can be anyone, the Queen of Great Britain or a Hollywood movie star, or maybe the Pope. Why not? We register visits from all over the world. There are probably celebrities among them. Most likely, you will never know about it, such people prefer not to shine. But maybe one day you will receive an order from there. Who knows?

Returning to the new exhibition, I would like to ask not only to watch, but also to leave comments to the authors. Of course, if you are the Queen of Great Britain and you are not entitled to this by status, we will understand. But if you are not her, then the authors will still be very happy with kind words written from a pure heart.

For many participants, it will become one of the most memorable events. In particular for me, because this is my first experience of participating in an exhibition of such a scale and level. But all this might not have happened if not the professional approach of the organizers, their immense sense of tact and patience towards such newcomers as me, when everything new and unknown scares you and you lose confidence in your actions.
