On October 7, a unique exhibition of dolls and Teddy bears of the project of unification of puppeteers "Bridges", entitled "Time, forward!"

The creative heritage of the Russian avant-garde has always been a source of inspiration for contemporary artists working in all fields of art - painting, graphics, architecture and arts and crafts.

The masters of the Russian avant-garde have created an artistic language used by modern fashion designers, directors and architects.

Authors of art dolls did not stand aside and embodied the aesthetics of the Russian avant-garde in the form of a doll.

The walls of the Museum are hosting such an unusual exhibition for the first time.

The doll in the presented project is understood broadly, which corresponds to the spirit of avant-garde artists who loved to shock the public and misbehave.

The exhibition showcases works by artists made of textiles, polymer clay, paper and mixed media.

Despite the intimate nature of the exposition, it surprises with its variety and fresh, non-standard look at the art of dolls.

Steampunk, avant-garde in Teddy, miniature paper men climbing the ladders of poetry by Vladimir Mayakovsky under the wise glance of the great theater director Vsevolod Meyerhold ...

Add to this the pleasure of visiting the Museum of the Russian Avant-garde itself - the home of the artist Mikhail Matyushin, the theorist of art, one of the leaders of the Russian avant-garde of the first half of the 20th century, and it becomes clear why this event should not be missed.

Authors from St. Petersburg and other cities of Russia take part in the project. The exposition presents works created specifically for the exhibition and previously not exhibited anywhere.

The exhibition is open for visits until November 5, 2021 at the address: St. Petersburg, st. Professors Popov, 10 (House of Matyushin).
