Space has always attracted those who are not indifferent.

In the difficult year of 2020, the Artistic Puppet Section of the TSKh DPI held the first online competition called "Let's Dance", in which more than 80 authors from different countries of the world and cities of Russia took part. The presented works, the competition itself, aroused great interest from both the participants and the organizers. All expressed the opinion that it was impossible to stop. The decision was made - the competition became annual.

In 2021, in the jubilee year of a global event - the 60th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's space exploration, the topic of the competition was beyond doubt - of course, “My COSMOS”. What a fantastically immense theme, how much room for imagination!

Inspiration, interest and mutual support soared in the atmosphere of the competition, in posts, discussions, and live broadcasts.

For 2 months we have published 48 informational publications about Space from ancient concepts to modern technologies. This information helped our participants navigate the topic, inspire them to create amazing works that made the jury's mission quite difficult ...

We are proud to note that the Competition was held with the support of the "Museum of Cosmonautics" in Moscow and the "House of Cosmonauts" in the Star City.

We were supported by amazing people: pilot-cosmonaut, twice hero of the Soviet Union Dzhanibekov Vladimir Alexandrovich, head of the scientific exposition department of the Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics Tatyana Alekseevna Gevorkyan, director of the House of Cosmonauts in Star City Krivonosov Andrey Viktorovich. We were given a great honor, they became members of the jury.

On the part of the representatives of the puppet world, the jury of the competition included: art tutor Maria Krestyannikova, members of the art doll section of the TSKh DPI, masters of various directions of puppetry: E. Misiun, I. Fomin, E. Shardakova, Y. Veller, A. Loginova and project manager N. Radzikhovskaya.

97 people expressed their desire to participate in the competition!

For two months we breathed the same air, followed the selected topics and the work processes of the contestants. It was very interesting!

But the time has come to evaluate the work, and here we needed all the experience and composure that we were capable of. The task was not easy: How to choose a leader from so many interesting, diverse works?

We did it!

Each of the jury members noted their preferences and presented commemorative prizes to the participating authors.

The most cherished gift that all masters dream of is the opportunity to join the art doll section of the TSKh DPI. Thanks to the competition, today our ranks have been replenished with four wonderful, talented masters: Ekaterina Romanova, Irina Zheleznova, Lilia Glushchenko and Evgenia Kryukova.

The active life of our section leaves no one indifferent. The theme “My SPACE” inspired the participation of recognized masters, members of the section. They were given special prizes: from the partner of the section - the international exhibition "MunecArt" and from the "Creative Union of Artists of Decorative and Applied Arts".

Prizes from sponsors became a very pleasant bonus for the participants of the competition. They were played live on Instagram.

An incredible event that summed up our event was Tatyana Alekseevna Gevorkyan's offer to sum up the results of the competition in the luxurious conference hall of the Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics!

The Museum of Cosmonautics offers to hold an exhibition within its walls for its visitors and invites many competitive works to participate. The exhibition will last almost 4 months, from the pre-New Year December time until April 12, 2022.

And, probably, the on-duty question of the whole puppet world, whether it is worth participating in competitions, does not require an answer! 

The project "My SPACE" turned out to be large-scale, interesting, and most importantly, with great prospects! In the jubilee year for astronautics, the creative works of the competition will be presented at many significant exhibition sites.
