International exhibition of dolls and teddy bears "Doll's time

In the last days of spring, the main exhibition of designer dolls and teddy bears presents new collections by Russian masters.
- The renowned art balloon will once again bring together the best artists for a new project entitled 'A Night in the Garden or a Collection of Unhurried Reflections'.
"Night in the Garden" brings together several visual stories flowing from one to the other, stories within stories.
- The Barbie Two Lives Project
Specially for the exhibition, Vakhtanov Gallery and Irina Myzina have prepared an exhibition of rare Barbie dolls.
- Only at the biannual exhibition "Time of the Dolls" in St. Petersburg you can see masterpieces from the museum's collection of unique pieces by the famous Russian artist Alexandra Kukinova.
- Interactive exhibition 'The Wheel of Time'.

A circus has arrived in the fairytale town where hard-working dwarfs live and their houses on wheels are always wandering around the country! Acrobats, cyclists and jugglers are already on stage! The town comes alive, everyone rushes to the show!

A collaborative project between artist-designers Julia Che and Eugenia Beth.
For the viewer it will be a literary adventure in the style of Kharms or the early Dadaists.
- Books, Film, Languages Festival.
The festival includes lectures and workshops on art, history, literature, film, ethnography, foreign languages, a book market, a book swap market (bookcrossing), conversation clubs in English and French, film screenings in foreign languages with discussion. As well as a lecture hall and presentation of new books on the history of dolls and costumes.
So! On 25-29 May (from 12:00 to 19:00), all halls of the Artists' Union will once again be decorated with new collections of dolls and teddy bears from all over Russia and the world.
A separate room at the Crafts Bazaar - ceramics, textiles, jewellery and handmade accessories. This is an opportunity to give the people you love unique items filled with the warmth of the hands and talent of the craftsmen.
Artist Julia Che creates dolls out of plastic waste.
Artist, designer, stylist and performance artist Yulia Che from Moscow will show a project at the exhibition "Tanya and Vitya, tea drinkers«.
The entire lower hall of the Artists' Union will be filled with unusual items JULIA CHE for unusual people.
Yulia Che is a Russian designer, participant of the Russian version of the world-famous TV show PROJECT PODIUM, finalist and participant of the Milan Design Week 2021. She will present upcycling art objects that promote the philosophy of moderate consumption.
Julia Che, an artist with an inimitable sense of humour, raises the subject of recycling and plastic recycling without being afraid to overdo the originality of her work. The exhibition includes a collection of tea items, masks, glasses, and paintings.
The aim of the designer is to show the viewer how old things can sparkle in a new way, and that there is no such thing as rubbish. There is talent and creativity!
- I decorate ceramics with old jewellery, plastic lids, disposable tableware and much more, the list is endless," says the author of the collection.
The artist describes a portrait of her customer:
- is a young, adventurous businessman with a sense of humour who has a personal collection of paintings by the Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama.
And we are sure that Julia's work will be appreciated by people who are willing to think outside the box.
The photographs were produced in collaboration with the art photographer Nurijat Osmanova. They are regularly published in American, European and Russian glossy magazines: "Dark Beauty magazine, Volition magazine, Lions magazine, HUF magazine, L'Etoile, Dialogue of Arts.

- Craftsmen's work in various fields of creativity, design and plastic folklore;
- A powerful lecture pool with unique speakers from various Russian cities: Andrei Borovsky, Nazim Mustafayev, Anton Priymak, Anastasia Ivanova, Polina Kordik, Tina Khmelnitskaya, Ekaterina Onokoy, Polina Lyubimova, Maria Khrustaleva, Natalia Nanieva, Yulia Marinicheva and Lyubov Golubeva. Sign-ups for the lectures are in advance and places are limited.
- Film screenings: Stitches of Life, a film about the female story of a seamstress and designer. (Japan, 2015), "Margareta Steif" the story of Margareta Steif, a German seamstress in a wheelchair who founded the world's first toy factory and created Teddy Bears (Germany, 2005), "Kate Kruse" the story of Kruse Dolls a film about a woman who revolutionised the toy industry. (Germany, 2005). Screenings are booked in advance and places are limited.
- Personal exhibition of Nazim Mustafayev's collection of antique and designer shoes 'The Red Shoe'. Book presentation, autograph session.

Craft lives in the everyday, without being enclosed by frames (like painting) or pedestals (like sculpture).
