Dolls are not just toys, but real symbols of childhood and fantasy. One of the most famous brands in this field is Paola Reina, which since its foundation in 1997 has won the hearts of children and parents all over the world. This Spanish doll manufacturer has become popular thanks to its unique design and high quality, as well as its commitment to cultural diversity.
The first collection of Paola Reina dolls was presented in 1997 and immediately attracted attention with its conceptual approach. The dolls represented different peoples of the world, which allowed the manufacturer to emphasise important social issues related to race and cultural conflicts. This bold endeavour made the brand unique among other doll manufacturers. Paola Reina's headquarters and factory are located in the province of Alicante, in the municipality of Onil, where these amazing toys are created.
In 1998, the first printed catalogue was released, including a series of stylish 36cm dolls called Las Blanditas. These dolls featured soft bodies, elegant outfits and a delicate vanilla fragrance, which made them popular with children. In 1999, 22cm dolls were introduced, which are still present in the range today with slight changes in clothing. They also developed 60cm baby dolls, mannequin dolls and the first series of dolls with a laughing mechanism. These innovations strengthened Paola Reina's position in the toy market.
In 2001, a pair of 40cm dolls Carlos and Carol were introduced, dressed in fashionable outfits and stylish leather shoes. By 2002, the brand's assortment totalled over 170 products, which signalled its active development. In 2003 Paola Reina expanded its international presence by opening new markets in Israel and Australia. In 2004, the first sets of clothes with hangers as accessories appeared on the shelves of shops, adding variety to the offer.
With each passing year, the company continued to innovate. In 2005, the first 40 cm Nelly mannequin doll with an extrusion-blow moulded body was launched. In 2007, the 32 cm Amiga doll was launched, which is still the best-selling product in this segment.
2014 was an important year for the brand: a collection of Amigas gymnasts with a full set of gymnastics equipment was presented. In the same year, the Russian representative office of the company became a sponsor of children's gymnastics championships, which still bear the name of the Paola Reina Cup.
In 2015, Paola Reina started producing two catalogues instead of one: Crear Jugando for play dolls and Dolls with Love for collectibles to better meet the needs of different groups of customers. In 2016, the company began a partnership with Spanish football club Real Madrid through Adidas to produce products under this licence. By this time, Paola Reina dolls were present in 30 countries around the world.
In 2017, Paola Reina signed an agreement with UK manufacturer Santoro London, enabling the company to produce and distribute the popular Gorjuss series. Paola Reina's international presence now spans 40 countries, including China and Latin America.
The company carefully controls every stage of production, combining state-of-the-art technology with manual techniques such as sculpting, face make-up and garment creation. Behind each product is a team of professionals, each responsible for a different area of work.
All dolls are made exclusively in Spain at the factory in Onila (Alicante) and meet the quality standards set by the European Union. They are made using safe materials that do not cause allergic reactions. Most of the dolls are made of soft PVC without harmful phthalates.
Paola Reina currently offers one of the most extensive and diverse catalogues of dolls in the world - from classic collectible dolls to modern play models with mechanisms and learning babies. The brand continues to delight both children and adults with its unique products, staying true to its mission to create quality and beautiful toys for everyone.
Modern makers use Paola Reina moulds to create custom dolls, allowing them to express their creativity and individuality. On the Marketplace Dailydoll.shop collectors have a great opportunity to buy original Paola Reina dolls, as well as to get acquainted with the unique works of masters who create customised versions of these wonderful toys.
