"Fashion History" in Kazan
An exhibition of designer dolls and teddy bears called 'Fashion History' held in the Art Gallery in Kazan on February 17-21, 2022, was a landmark event for residents and visitors to the city.
The large number of exhibitors and visitors to the fair attests to this.
The exhibition is a clear example of the living connection between the authors and admirers of their work, proof of the growing interest in the art of dolls among amateurs and professionals.
Artists from many Russian cities took part in the exhibition: Maria Chikova (Kazan), Natalia Safina (Kazan), Natalia Voronina (Moscow), Yulia Shumbutova (Kazan), Anastasia Snegireva (Kazan), Lilia Vagavyeva (Kazan), Valentina Prirodina (Kazan), Ionova Irina (Kazan), Suvorova Elena (Nizhnekamsk), Manko Antonina (Togliatti), Voronova Elvira (Kazan), Gorunova Natalia (Kazan), Mukhametzyanova Alina (Kazan) and others.
The exhibition was held in the Kazan Fair building. It is a historical building complex, built especially for exhibitions. Beautiful lighting, space and thoughtful locations made it possible to present all the exhibits perfectly. The chic aristocratic dolls at the beginning of the exposition - escorted the audience to the charming miniatures full of charm on the final catwalks.
The stands offered a glimpse of all the rows, admiring the original "architectural" designs of the podiums. The theme of the exhibits was pleasing to the eye in its diversity. The theme of the exhibits was the diversity of the items on display, and the luxury of the handmade jewellery and doll's accessories stood out in particular.
Art objects, souvenirs and consumables to suit all tastes! Many exhibits have made their way into the hearts and homes of their new owners.
The exhibited works represented various techniques of performance: from sculptural modelling and static interior works to boudoir, mobile dolls made of velvet, plush and felt.
There was a rich variety of plot devices: theatrical skits, compositions of puppets and toys, and a collection of characters from literary works.
The exhibition's design style speaks to the contemporary author as an artist whose work can satisfy all aesthetic and spiritual demands of the public.
Thank you to the organiser of the exhibition: Galina Akhmetova.
